His paintings are exhibited and held in collections throughout the world, including the UK, South Africa and Norway. His collection of portraits of figures from Black Mountain College was shown at Blue Spiral 1 in 2018.\u00a0\u00a0\u201cWhat Became of Dr. Smith,\u201d Saterstrom\u2019s most ambitious show to date, was exhibited at the Mississippi Museum of Art in 2023 and accompanied by a full-length folio. Saterstrom\u2019s work also appears on numerous book covers including Ann Patchett\u2019s The Dutch House (2019) and Whistler (2026).\u00a0\u00a0\u201cOn a Winter\u2019s Night,\u201d his collaboration with writer Kate DiCamillo, is due from Candlewick Press in 2027.
