I recently got an informal tour of the incredible archive by my good old friend David who has pretty much single-handedly brought order to approximately 600,00 photographs.  When he asked what I wanted to look at, I had no idea where to start, so ended up rifling through boxes of &#8216;orphan&#8217; photographs \u2013 no record of their provenance, photographer, location, date.  I can&#8217;t remember if this is one of those photographs or not.  I would make a horrendous archivist (and if I ever apply for a job as an archivist, please remind me to take this post down).
